I had visited this area many times before but there always seemed to be things preventing me from presenting the subject in a simple, unobstructed way. But on this particular occasion, the soft lighting and still water enabled me to take advantage of the dark reflections and luminous qualities of the white boat and the diagonal lines added tension and interest to the composition.
